Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Established in 1987, the Hong Kong Business Association of the Midwest (HKBAM) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves as the forum of choice for business executives involved in international trade between Hong Kong and the Midwest region of the United States.
Through the sponsorship of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), HKBAM provides access to a worldwide network of business partners entrenched in the dynamic and fast growing Greater China and the ASEAN regions, as well as local Midwest companies with a global marketing strategy.
Our members are comprised of individual and corporate executives from various industry sectors including: import/export, manufacturing, finance and investment, professional services, real estate, engineering, logistics and technology.
HKBAM offers opportunities for our members to network, strengthen business contacts, and gain market information by organizing events such as receptions, luncheons and seminars.
We invite distinguished business leaders and senior government officials to speak at our events, updating members on major topics related to trade with Hong Kong, ASEAN region, and the U.S.

Mission

At HKBAM, our mission is to promote a global networking environment for business executives involved in international trade (particularly between Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the Midwestern states of the U.S), provide a forum of events updating members about the fast-growing Greater China and the ASEAN region with Hong Kong’s role in this dynamic market, and encourage dialogue between members and the business community, and share international trade experiences to foster global engagement.
